My Services

Education Policy Analysis and Business Sidekick.

Code & Calligrpahy, LLC

"Code and Calligraphy" began as a collaborative initiative between a former partner and me. Initially, the business blended distinct yet complementary services: my partner specialized in calligraphy, offering expert services and a popular guide for enthusiasts, while I focused on web development. Despite the change in partnership, the company has retained its original name as a nod to its roots. Today, under my sole management, "Code and Calligraphy" has evolved to predominantly offer web development, symbolizing our name's 'code' aspect. I have also integrated print design services, maintaining the 'calligraphy' element in a modern context.

The business has also expanded its scope to include a broader range of services. These additional offerings encompass technology consulting, where I provide expert advice and solutions for tech-related projects and challenges. Another essential service is education policy analysis, where I apply critical analysis to education systems and policies, offering insights and recommendations. Lastly, the company provides tutoring services, leveraging my expertise to support and guide individuals' learning journeys. This diverse range of services reflects the company's commitment to versatility and excellence in the intersection of technology, design, and education.

I have enjoyed working with BJ Yamamoto for over a decade. He has helped me design my shopping cart and manage my website. He has revised and refreshed the website at least three times to keep it current and up to date. I am an artist in Hawaii who sells art through galleries and online. I create original artwork and create different products using my artwork. Some of these products that BJ has helped me make are notecards, placemats, reusable bags, tags for products, and custom products for clients. BJ is my go-to person for graphic design, layouts, and branding for my products. I enjoy working with him. He is easy to work with, listens well, and has a great sense of design. Because of his teaching background, he can explain complex concepts. He always gets back to me on time with various design options. BJ has also helped me create an annual newsletter for my clients, family, and friends. This keeps me in touch with my clients, and I have responded very well to this newsletter. He is a good person, and I have appreciated working with him for many years. Aloha!
